Discount World (DW) and Easypaisa forge strategic alliance
The partnership between Discount World (DW) and Telenor
Microfinance Bank (Easypaisa) aims to provide enhanced convenience to the large
consumer base of Easypaisa account holders. DW, an organization catering to
over 13 million customers from leading banks, insurance companies,
pharmaceuticals, financial institutes, and corporate entities in Pakistan,
signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Easypaisa, the country's first
scheduled microfinance bank operating as a fintech.
This collaboration marks a significant step towards
strengthening Pakistan's digital payment platform and revolutionizing customer
experience. The MoU signing ceremony took place in the presence of senior
officials from both DW and Easypaisa, with Mr. Sultan Richard, Chairman &
CEO of DW, and Mr. Farhan Hassan, Head of Easypaisa, inking the agreement.
Mr. Sultan Richard expressed his delight in partnering with
Pakistan's leading digital payment platform, emphasizing DW's commitment to
providing convenience to customers across various institutes. He described the
strategic alliance with Easypaisa as a significant milestone that will bring
added benefits to Easypaisa's large customer base. Mr. Richard further stated
that this partnership will contribute to expanding their reach and market
confidence.
Following the MoU signing ceremony, senior officials from both
organizations engaged in a networking session to discuss collaboration details
and exchange ideas for future projects.
