BankIslami names Rizwan Ata as President and CEO
BankIslami Pakistan Limited's Board of Directors has announced
the appointment of Rizwan Ata as the President and CEO, effective from
September 29, 2023. He will assume the position for a period of three years,
succeeding the current CEO, Syed Amir Ali, after the completion of his term on
September 28, 2023.
As of July 25, 2023, Rizwan Ata has been appointed as Deputy CEO
of the Bank. Following the completion of the present CEO's term, Rizwan Ata, in
accordance with the Board's decision, will take on the role of President and
CEO from September 29, 2023, for a three-year tenure.
The appointment of Rizwan Ata is subject to approval from the
State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
Rizwan Ata brings a wealth of experience in Islamic banking,
with over two decades of expertise in the field. He currently serves as the
Group Head, Distribution at BankIslami Pakistan Limited.
