Daraz and Meezan Bank forge partnership to promote electric bike
adoption in Pakistan
Meezan Bank, a prominent Islamic bank in Pakistan, and
Daraz, the country's largest e-commerce platform, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate and promote the use of electric
bikes in Pakistan. Under this agreement, Meezan Bank will offer
Shariah-compliant financing options for electric bikes to Daraz's delivery
staff and riders across the nation.
The MoU was signed by Syed Iftikhar ul Haq, Group Head of
Consumer Finance at Meezan Bank, and Ahmed Tanveer, Chief Operating Officer of
Daraz Pakistan, in the presence of senior executives from both organizations.

Syed Iftikhar ul Haq expressed his enthusiasm, stating,
"We are thrilled to collaborate with Daraz in the promotion of electric
bikes in Pakistan. Together, we are striving to reduce emissions and provide a
cost-effective and environmentally friendly transportation solution that will
benefit our environment and the local community."
Ahmed Tanveer added, "We are fully dedicated to
improving our customers' delivery experience while actively contributing to a
greener and more sustainable Pakistan. Through our partnership with Meezan
Bank, we hope to not only promote environmentally responsible practices but
also offer our riders a more economically viable alternative in the face of
rising fuel costs."
This joint initiative between Meezan Bank and Daraz Pakistan
represents a significant step toward a cleaner and more sustainable future for
transportation in Pakistan.
