New incentives offered to send remittances via official banking channels
In a proactive effort to promote legal channels for remittances,
the Pakistani government has introduced an enticing incentive program for
overseas Pakistanis.
Caretaker Finance Minister Dr. Shamsad Akhtar unveiled this
initiative, backed by a substantial budget of Rs80 billion, with Rs20 billion
already allocated to the State Bank of Pakistan.

The concept is straightforward: when you send over $100 through
legitimate channels, you won't encounter any transaction fees. Moreover, you
will accumulate reward points that can be redeemed for government services or
discounts on purchases.
Exchange companies are not left out either; they will receive
marketing incentives for utilizing legal pathways.

To add an element of excitement, a lottery system will
distribute cash prizes to eligible senders.
This strategic move is aimed at boosting legal money transfers,
ultimately benefiting both the national economy and overseas Pakistanis, who
