Bank Alfalah launches Pakistan's inaugural Digital Payments Sales and Service Centers

Bank Alfalah, a prominent commercial and digital bank, has launched Pakistan's inaugural Digital Payments Sales and Service Centers, strategically positioned in Badar Commercial DHA and Disco Bakery Gulshan, Karachi. These centers are designed to cater to the needs of merchants and small-scale businesses within the digital ecosystem.

Recognized for its digital banking success, Bank Alfalah received the Best Digital Banking award at the Pakistan Banking Awards in 2023. Approximately 80% of counter transactions and 99% of eligible account openings were conducted through the bank's paperless digital channels.

With a vast network of 984 branches and the introduction of Pakistan's First Digital Lifestyle Branch in 2023, Bank Alfalah is pioneering innovative digital payment solutions for merchants and small businesses. The newly launched Digital Payments Sales and Service Center, located in Badar Commercial DHA, was inaugurated by Dr. Inayat Hussain, the Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan, and other dignitaries, including Atif Bajwa (President and CEO of Bank Alfalah), Muhammad Yahya Khan (Group Head, Digital Banking Group), and Mehreen Ahmed (Group Head, Retail Banking).

The Deputy Governor highlighted the importance of digitization for inclusive banking in Pakistan, expressing the State Bank of Pakistan's commitment to promoting digital payment channels and innovative concepts like digital payment sales and service centers.

Atif Bajwa, President and CEO of Bank Alfalah, emphasized the bank's dedication to providing relevant and efficient banking services. The Digital Payments Sales and Service Centers aim to be one-stop solutions, offering self-services to meet the diverse needs of small business and merchant customers.

These centers, integrated with the Alfa Business Merchant App, provide a range of services, including digital onboarding, merchant acceptance services, merchant financing, payment card issuance, online web-store services, cash and cheque management, fee collection services for educational institutions and restaurants, merchant savings, and shopping on instalments.

Bank Alfalah plans to expand these services to other market areas and cities, contributing to financial inclusion and reducing cash circulation in the economy. The strategic placement of these centers aligns with the bank's mission to make banking services accessible to all through its digital strength.
