Al Baraka Bank facilitates Pakistan-South Africa export connections  

Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited organized a webinar to introduce the Al Baraka Group (ABG) Inter-Franchise Collaboration and portal, fostering a partnership between Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited (ABPL) and Al Baraka Bank South Africa (ABL SA). The webinar's primary objective was to facilitate connections between Pakistani exporters and South African importers, thereby enhancing trade opportunities between the two nations.

The webinar, chaired by Houssem Ben Haj Amor, CEO of Al Baraka Group, also saw the announcement of similar collaborations between Pakistan and ten other countries. Prominent figures from the business community attended and expressed optimism about the webinar's potential outcomes.

Distinguished guests at the event included Dr. Ishrat Hussain, former Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP); Akhtar Jawaid, Executive Director of Banking Policy at SBP; High Commissioner of South Africa in Pakistan, Mthuthuzeli Madikiza; and the High Commissioner of Pakistan in South Africa, Aftab Hasan Khan.

Muhammad Atif Hanif, CEO of Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited, stated during the event, "This initiative holds significant importance in supporting Pakistan's foreign exchange inflows, especially in these critical times. We are optimistic that the launch of this program will open new possibilities and synergies, expanding Pakistan's export markets. We plan to replicate this initiative with Al Baraka Group subsidiaries in Bahrain, Turkey, Egypt, Algeria, Jordan, and Tunisia."
