Syed Ali Haider Zaidi appointed as new country head of Deutsche Bank in Pakistan
Deutsche Bank has announced the appointment of Syed Ali Haider Zaidi as its new Chief Country Officer (CCO) for Pakistan, succeeding Kamran Zaidi, who is moving on to a new role within the organization.
With over 25 years of experience in the banking
industry, Ali Haider Zaidi brings extensive expertise in corporate, commercial,
investment, and institutional banking. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, he
served as Executive Director and Country Head of the Global Subsidiaries
business at Standard Chartered Bank (Pakistan) Limited.
Throughout his career, Zaidi has held senior leadership roles across Pakistan’s financial sector, overseeing strategic client relationships, leading coverage teams in key markets, and structuring complex financing solutions for sovereign, corporate, and institutional clients.

Commenting on the appointment, Jamal Al Kishi, Chief Executive Officer for the Middle East & Africa at Deutsche Bank, said that Zaidi’s proven leadership, industry insight, and strong track record make him well-suited to drive the bank’s growth in Pakistan.
Deutsche Bank, which has been operating in Pakistan for more than six decades, continues to provide corporate and investment banking services through its branches in Karachi and Lahore. The leadership transition signals the bank’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the country’s financial sector.
