Zong signs agreement with China’s ICBC to strengthen digital infrastructure in Pakistan

 

Zong and ICBC join forces to bolster Pakistan's digital infrastructure 

Zong has entered into a landmark strategic partnership with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) to enhance its Pakistan operations through a comprehensive suite of advanced ICT infrastructure and managed digital services. 

Under the agreement, Zong will deliver a customized Cloud Platform designed to meet ICBC’s stringent operational and security requirements. The solution will include IT infrastructure, end-to-end secure connectivity, and managed digital services hosted at Zong’s High-Performance Computing Center (HPCC) in Islamabad — one of the country’s most sophisticated digital facilities.

The collaboration will also extend to managed Wi-Fi and enterprise communication solutions, ensuring seamless, secure, and reliable network performance across ICBC’s nationwide operations.

The official signing ceremony was held at CMPak Headquarters and attended by senior executives from both organizations. The alliance marks a key milestone in strengthening digital cooperation between Pakistan and China, while reinforcing Zong’s role in empowering the financial sector with secure, scalable, and globally compliant digital infrastructure.

Speaking at the ceremony, Fan Jiehuan, Deputy Director of Business Solutions at Zong, stated:
