Raqami Islamic Digital Bank to operate on Garaj’s Tier III–certified infrastructure

Garaj, the cloud and cybersecurity solutions platform from JazzWorld has successfully facilitated the launch of Raqami Islamic Digital Bank, Pakistan’s first fully Islamic digital retail bank operating entirely on domestic cloud infrastructure.

This achievement underscores Garaj's ability to host critical financial systems while aligning with Raqami Islamic Digital Bank’s mission to redefine digital banking in Pakistan.

Designed as a cloud-native institution, Raqami Islamic Digital Bank has deployed its entire technology stack—including core banking, digital channels, and fully operational Production (PR) and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments—on Garaj’s enterprise-grade cloud platform. By opting for a fully hosted model from the start, Raqami has removed traditional infrastructure limitations and laid the groundwork for scalable, performance-driven growth.

Speaking at the event, Shahzad Rasheed, President of Enterprise Solutions at JazzWorld, said, “Raqami Islamic Digital Bank, as a fully Islamic digital bank, requires a cloud infrastructure capable of supporting regulated banking operations. Our collaboration highlights our commitment to creating a secure, resilient, and scalable digital foundation that Pakistan can rely on.”

Umair Aijaz, CEO of Raqami Islamic Digital Bank, added, “As the first fully Islamic digital retail bank in Pakistan, our foundation had to be secure, scalable, and future-ready from day one. Partnering with Garaj allowed us to deploy our entire technology stack on a trusted, local cloud platform. This positions us to drive innovation while adhering to high standards of security, reliability, and regulatory compliance.”

Raqami Islamic Digital Bank will operate on Garaj’s Tier III–certified infrastructure, featuring built-in redundancy to ensure high availability for regulated financial services. The platform also integrates robust security features such as monitoring, access governance, and threat detection to support secure operations and long-term scalability.
