Rehmat Ali Hasnie of NBP declared CEO of the Year
Rehmat Ali Hasnie, the President and CEO (A) of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), has been bestowed with the esteemed title of CEO of the Year by the CEO Club Pakistan.
The recognition was granted to Hasnie at a grand ceremony held on May 31 at the Governor House in Lahore, where Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman, the Governor of Punjab, did the honors.
Ijaz Nisar, the
President and Founder of CEO Club Pakistan, also graced the occasion.
With a rich experience spanning over 25 years in diverse fields such as economics research, capital markets, investment banking, treasury, and credit markets, Hasnie has emerged as a prominent figure within the banking sector in Pakistan.
Since assuming the role of President and CEO (A) of NBP in
May 2022, he has exhibited exceptional leadership skills and strategic vision,
propelling NBP to unprecedented heights, making it the largest bank in Pakistan
in terms of balance sheet.
The bank's remarkable growth in the balance sheet has been
accompanied by substantial progress in various profitability indicators,
alongside the bank's continued commitment to serving the nation.
One of Hasnie's notable contributions has been his pivotal role
in NBP's Digital Transformation. Under his guidance, NBP has embraced
cutting-edge technologies and digital solutions, revolutionizing the banking
experience for customers and ensuring seamless and secure transactions. This
progressive approach has solidified NBP's position as a frontrunner in the
digital banking landscape.
