The Banking Mohtasib's statement stressed the need for the
banking sector to streamline the complaint resolution process, making it more
customer-friendly and expeditious. Initially, some banks attempted to evade
customer complaints, but few succeeded in navigating the process and lodging
their claims.
To protect individuals from the prevalent fraudulent
activities, Sirajuddin Aziz, the Banking Mohtasib, urged banking customers not
to divulge their personal and financial information to third parties. In case
of suspicious calls, customers are advised to promptly contact their nearest
bank branch or the bank's helpline.
