U Microfinance Bank appoints Mohamed Essa Al Taheri as the Acting President & CEO  

Seasoned banker Mohamed Essa Al Taheri has been appointed as the Acting President & CEO of U Microfinance Bank.

Mr. Al Taheri has previously served as a Member of the Board of Directors at U Bank and held the position of Group EVP Financial Policies and Systems with e& Group. He holds a Master's degree in International Business from the University of Wollongong, Dubai, and brings with him over two decades of professional experience, having worked with esteemed institutions such as HSBC Bank, Dubai Commercial Bank, and the Development Board of Dubai Government.

This appointment of Mr. Essa Al Taheri follows the departure of Mr. Kabeer Naqvi, who previously held the role of President & CEO at U Bank. Mr. Naqvi leaves behind a remarkable legacy marked by progress, innovation, and substantial growth during his tenure at the bank. His association with U Bank dates back to 2015, where he led the institution with great enthusiasm, striving to make a meaningful impact on the microfinance industry in Pakistan.
