State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced the declaration of a bank holiday on Monday, December 25, 2023, in observance of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas, as per the announcement made by the Government of Pakistan.

In an official statement released on Wednesday, the SBP confirmed the closure of all its offices on December 25, 2023 (Monday) to mark the public holiday honoring Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.

Quaid-e-Azam Day is celebrated to honor the birth anniversary of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, a day of significant historical importance paying tribute to the visionary leader pivotal in the country's creation.

The decision to declare a bank holiday was communicated to the presidents and chief executives of all banks, development financial institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks (MFBs) by the SBP.
