Huawei and NIBAF train State Bank’s employees in digital skills

Huawei Technologies Pakistan, in collaboration with the National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF), has successfully completed the first training batch for employees of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) aimed at boosting their digital skills.

This training initiative follows the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in September 2024, which establishes a framework for empowering SBP staff in digital transformation and related fields.

Huawei's goal is to foster digital empowerment within Pakistan's banking and governance sectors, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency. The inaugural one-week training program took place at the NIBAF Campus in Karachi and focused on Datacom certification.

A certification ceremony was attended by Mr. Asim Iqbal, Chief Technology Officer and Executive Director of ITG-SBP, and Mr. Ahmed Bilal Masud, Deputy CEO of Huawei Technologies Pakistan. Participants received certificates and engaged in discussions about strategic initiatives to further strengthen Pakistan’s banking governance sector.

Asim Iqbal expressed gratitude for Huawei’s contributions, highlighting the importance of ongoing training to enhance the organization’s human resource capabilities.

The banking sector is undergoing significant digital transformation globally, and we are excited to collaborate with the SBP to enhance capabilities for the benefit of Pakistan’s citizens.
