Pakistani senator gets seat on Boards of IMF, World

Senator Faisal Saleem has made history for Pakistan by
securing a seat on both the Boards of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and
the World Bank. This achievement marks the first time a Pakistani
parliamentarian has attained such a significant position within these renowned
international institutions.
Hailing from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Senator Saleem entered the
upper house in March 2021 and is set to serve until March 2027. His election to
the Parliamentary Boards of the IMF and the World Bank signifies a notable
milestone, placing him among influential global figures tasked with crafting
strategies for poverty reduction and economic stability.
