ZTBL given award of “Financial Literacy Champion Bank”

The award was presented by the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) at a ceremony held in Karachi on April 14, 2025
 

ZTBL wins “Financial Literacy Champion Bank” award  

Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) has been awarded the prestigious “Financial Literacy Champion Bank Award” in the mid-size bank category, recognizing its exceptional performance in the National Financial Literacy Program (NFLP) 2023–24.

The award was presented by the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) at a ceremony held in Karachi on April 14, 2025. ZTBL President and CEO Mr. Tahir Yaqoob Bhatti accepted the award on behalf of the bank.

During the fiscal year 2023–24, ZTBL surpassed the SBP-assigned target of 310 financial literacy sessions by conducting 320 sessions, reaching 10,414 individuals, including 5,281 women. These efforts led to the opening of 9,351 new bank accounts for previously unbanked individuals—making a tangible contribution to financial inclusion nationwide.

Over the last four years (July 2021 to March 2025), ZTBL has provided financial literacy training to more than 37,000 people across Pakistan, equipping them with the tools to make informed financial decisions. The SBP has consistently recognized ZTBL’s impactful efforts, awarding the bank a series of honors, including last year’s Special Performance Award. To date, ZTBL has earned 17 awards, shields, and certificates from SBP's central and regional offices in Karachi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Islamabad, and Faisalabad.
