SBP starts Pakistan Financial Literacy Week 2025 to create financial awareness
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) officially launched Pakistan Financial Literacy Week (PFLW) 2025 on Tuesday—an ambitious nationwide campaign to promote financial awareness, inclusion, and empowerment across all segments of society.
The inaugural ceremony was held at
the SBP Banking Services Corporation, Sialkot, where Fouzia Aslam, Chief
Manager of the Sialkot office, formally opened the week-long initiative. She
underscored the importance of financial literacy in achieving economic
resilience and long-term prosperity.

Financial Literacy Week to commence on March 4th, 2024
“In today’s fast-changing financial
environment, empowering individuals with the right financial knowledge is more
essential than ever,” she said.
This year’s PFLW, themed “Financial
Inclusion through Collaboration and Innovation,” will span 101 districts,
bringing together over 100 partner institutions, including 60 universities and
colleges, and all commercial banks. The initiative will include:
- 260 financial literacy camps
- 350 outreach sessions at educational institutions
- 400+ workshops and awareness sessions, with a focus on
women, youth, and persons with disabilities
The opening event was attended by Ikram-ul-Haq,
President of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), along with
university vice chancellors, representatives from financial institutions, SBP
staff, and focal persons from the National Financial Literacy Program (NFLP).
